The song felt like a breather when I heard it after a long long time. I heard it last when I was a child and thereafter for few times during the Vividh Bharati era of the All India Radio, while I was still in school. I don’t know if those programmes are still being aired by AIR amidst today’s FM era. The song attracted my fancy at that time for its lovely lively tune and as much for the presence of the two little kids in the picturisation of the song.
But I seem to be loving the song many folds more now, not just for the sweet and charismatic voices of two most legendary singers we miss often in the present times – The Great Kishore Kumar and The Legendary Lata Mangeshkar; for the full of life vitality and amazing enthusiasm which the song spreads in the air; the beautiful tune and above all, for the superb lyrics, spreading the great message of life that –
Life is a journey amidst thorns and roses,
Through spring, summer, fall and winter;
